Outside, Inside
Spotted this two days ago, on the way in to work. I liked how it was so neatly organized, and in a way reminded me of a bar chart.

On our walk to work today, I happened to notice someon had left a half-eaten bit of bread on a nearby bush. It struck me as kind of funny, in a “I want the birds to get this, but not the dogs” kind of way.
Unfortunately, the early morning snowfall covered up the “No Left Turn” sign. And the left turn arrow was still functioning, so people naturally just assumed it was business as usual.
I’m just a tech guy, and I find it funny whenever I see error screens out of context. For some extra hilarity, check out the Thunderdome links (below).
It was one of those mornings where, seemingly everywhere I looked, there was something amazing and interesting to see. Something most might overlook. Something waiting to be found.
Spotted a truck dropping off a dumpster on State Street, yesterday. I walked by at first, but then swung back with my phone to try to snap a photo. Luckily for me, a guy had hopped onto the truck to talk to the driver… and the dumpster was paused in this position.
Walking to work today, Liz noticed that we were about to walk underneath a a dissimulation of birds, pointing out that we would have to “run the poop gauntlet.”
I imagined that all three would be of the same shape/size/color, but… apparently not. Mr. Silver Thinpants on the right there seems a little out of place, but what do I know?
Saw this a few mornings ago, while waiting for the train in to work. Is it sawdust? Debris? It appears to have been left or placed here on purpose, but I’m at a loss for what this might actually be.
It reminded me of the work skydivers will do, packing up their parachutes. All that equipment, and so much faith that it will take care of you high up in the air.
It seems like the thing on the left is what should be on all three platforms, but in looking closer… the platform on the right is much smaller. I’m assuming the black thing is a kind transformer for the adjacent building. But on the right? The thing made out of wood? No idea.
Spotted this on the way in to work. The clouds in the sky made me think of patchwork, of a quilt covering the whole of downtown Chicago.
On arriving at Millennium Station this morning, I walked through the doors to see a huge crowd gathered. I was curious what was hapening, and went in for a closer look.
I don’t see any sign. Do you see any sign? No? Well then how about you shut up then?
Spotted this on my way in to work. It’s a small, thin beam of sunlight – a perfectly straight line that seemed to mark the time on the building across the street.
