Liz and I went on a run together today. It’s… well, it’s been a while.
Liz has gone out on her own a few times. But for me, I think it’s been at least 2 weeks or more since I’ve actually put foot to pavement. I was definitely out of practice.
The first mile was really rough. I was pushing myself, and I could feel the run getting away from me. I tried to slow down, somewhat successfully… but it was a struggle.

A pretty big fallen limb, which would have been a sight to behold as it fell.

To my surprise, I found her sitting on the front steps. And from there, we immediately turned around and got back into the car. We drove a ways towards the lake, parking next to Promontory point. And began looking for a spot to have our Sunday breakfast.

It’s been several years now, and there’s just a twinge of sadness each time I step foot into the museum. As amazing and awesome as the displays are, I do always find myself imagining the crowds having gone, and the lights dimming. I found myself looking around at various locations, wondering what it would be like to try to sleep at this exhibit, or over under this display.
