Walking back towards the Aragon, I spotted this kid who had an awesome find – a riot shield from a prison, I’m guessing. I had my camera in hand, and as we passed one another… we kind of locked eyes. He was looking at me, thinking don’t you want to take my picture? and I was looking at him thinking I totally want to take your picture.

Over the weekend, the Vintage Bazaar returned to the Dank Haus German Cultural Center. This was the first event we went to, way back in 2010 and so it was fun to revisit the space.

Over the weekend, the folks from Vintage Bazaar were sponsoring a pop-up shop at 2133 Milwaukee – right next door to the Congress Theater. Unlike their prior events, this one was a more intimate affair – a smaller space with 14 vendors.

For the past week ro so, I’d been in contact with the event organizers, Libby and Katherine. The two of them have liked my blog recaps from past events, (and liked my photos enough to include them on a write-up they did for Dwell. The Vintage Bazaar took place this weekend, and this time around the venue moved to the Congress Theater on Milwaukee. Based on the last bazaar, we figured there would be a ton of folks.
