Walking to Lunch

Along the way, I passed by Crazyhorse. Now that the weather’s so nice, I really need to come out here some late afternoon, grab a table with some friends, get some drinks and just people watch. It’d be nice to talk the afternoon into dusk, I think. It’s getting to be that time.
Passing by, again I think it’s the light making me all giddy. The red ashtrays really caught my eye, and for some reason I liked seeing this big expanse of empty tables. Every one of them just waiting.

My favorite ones are the ones that are just slightly hidden from view.

I mentioned this church a few days ago, when I spotted a church through some scaffolding on Milwaukee. I’ve mostly seen this church (on Damen) at night, walking to or from the bars. I’ve taken a few shots of it at night, but today I saw a few guys working on the structure.
Stupid me – my camera was set on “macro,” and the shot didn’t come out as I had expected. Dang! Still, I’m happy I got both guys (the one high up and the one watching from the ground) in the shot. Really wished I had realized my settings before snapping the picture.

I was able to get a decent zoom though. Like the lock picture, this too is also getting my head clicking some. I need to try to flush some of these ideas out.
