Shopping and Prepping for Halloween
A big errand day, today. We went out for an early brunch, then hit up several stores to pick up a whole host of supplies for the coming week.
We get a lot of trick-or-treaters on Halloween, in Hyde Park. And I mean… a lot. Liz and I were looking at prices for candy at Target, and were trying to compare unit prices.
Our cart. At least three different times, one of us said “I don’t know if we have enough.” Which then resulted in us throwing another $15 bag of candy into the cart. Even now, I’m still not sure if we have enough.
An assortment of stuff: candy, bunny supplies, some gourds, our leftovers from breakfast. And some plexiglass.
After unloading and settling down at home, we made a pot of coffee… and sat down to talk/plan. I’ve been getting our project process more solidified in my head (watching the same tutorial several times over). But Liz hasn’t had the same time/exposure.
So we sat down to talk through the whole process, start to finish. And got on the same page about the steps we want to take, and the proper sequence.
Down in the basement – we’ve got our plywood board cut and ready. Liz is applying a slight filler, which she will eventually sand down once it’s dry.
The goal here is to have an even smoother surface. For this secret thing that we’re building.
