PostSecret Video

Just found out about this new PostSecret video that Frank put up a few days ago:

For those of you not familiar with the project, people (anonymously) send in postcards with their secrets to Frank… which he then collects and publishes. Oftentimes, the artwork and presentation are as stunning and moving as the secrets themselves.

Frank’s got several books out, with a new one on the way.

PostSecret is a fantastic project, and Frank is a wonderful speaker. I’ve written to find out more specifics about his upcoming book tour, and hopefully he’ll find his way through Chicago again.

I’ve got some great video clips of the Found Magazine/PostSecret show at Intuit Gallery. Definitely check that older entry out for more examples from both projects.

Aside: I’m reminded of my old (and now defunct) One Day Secret project. It had some good initial momentum, but never really caught on in a way that would make it self-sustaining.

I really liked that project idea, and I’m still trying to figure out a way to make it stick, to make it work. I remain convinced there’s something great and magical there… I’ve just yet to figure out the right pieces to get things going.
