Liz is Awarded a Graduate Assistantship

Last week, Liz got some pretty good news in the mail.

A while back, she put in an application for a graduate assistantship… and recently learned that she got awarded one of the 2 or 3 available. She wasn’t told how many others applied, only that there were a good number of other applicants.

The award itself also comes with a tuition waver for 3 courses (12 credits). Roughly translated, that’s about $6,000 – 7,000 that we won’t have to worry about, next academic year. You can, ahem, do the math on that one.

All through the weekend I’ve been caling Liz “smartypants.” Because it’s true.

With Liz’s book smarts, and my skill for mooching off of people with book smarts… I think we make for a good couple.
