A More Social Attitude. Or: Me Version 1.2
My friends Alex and Elissa came by today, around 1 PM. They were heading out to Hollywood Grill, and wanted to see if I was interested. Having just finished lunch, I decided to join them for coffee. When they came by, I was still unshaven, unshowered, and a bit smelly from a rather unproductive morning of creating stuff on the screen and then immediately erasing it.
Shower. Clothing. Camera. Door.
At Hollywood, I mentioned to Alex that I was worried he was mad at me. I don’t think he even got my e-mail from a few days ago, apologizing for pulling the reclusive bit. We talked some about the ways I’m trying to be more social – this blog being one of them. And yes, I fully realize the irony of spending time on my computer to create an online journal that will hopefully help me spend more time away from the computer. But thanks for pointing that out. :P
Alex, Elissa and I chatted about photography. More to the point, they chatted about photography and I listened, trying to retain as much info as I could. The photos that I had taken outside during the day turned out well – but the reason many of my "indoor" pictures have turned out so crappy? Lighting. And a general ignorance of basic photographic technique. I’ve got a nice camera – but it’s slowly dawning on me how much MORE work I need to do.
