Apartment Hunting (Sorta)
Well, I did leave the house, in case you were wondering. I met up with Steph around 5:30 to look at an apartment. It’s the ground floor of my landlord’s building, and right up the street. Literally. It’s smaller than my apartment now, but it’s cozy and more than enough room for one person, I feel. Two bedrooms, and they’re both exactly the same size – which is weird. Usually (according to Steph), one room is bigger than the other, and rent is typically weighted depending on square footage.
While the apartment didn’t immediately give me the impression I should move in – it was good. I liked it, but it wasn’t a *great* apartment.
Still – right up the street, same neighborhood, it’s offset from the actual street so that there’s a front yard, comes with a washer and dryer unit. And hopefully a lower rate, depending on what I can work out with Ted. Hard to beat that.
