Greetings, Programs!
Last night, I had a great conversation with Alex about art, and our mutual aesthetics. We talked about about Matthew Barney (who I will talk at GREAT length about, just at a later time… I’ve got so much, so very much rage about his stuff). Alex and I hit on culture as an unescapable point of reference, the act of making references (literary, historical, pretentious, contemporary), audience and expecations, as well as the responsibilities of the artist vs. the responsibilities of the viewer/receiver. Good, geeky stuff.
Afterwards, we watched Tron and ate some pizza. I love my friends.
