Audience Participation

This was pretty fun. Davy was telling everyone how much mail they have been getting lately, and gave a bit of background on how the entire submission/evaluation process worked. But more than that, he wanted to share with everyone in the audience how much fun it was, to go through these submissions.
He spoke openly and well about his genuine love of this project, and proposed to share the same delight of discovery with everyone in attendance. They passed out a bunch of unopened Found mail, and let people in the audience open it up for the first time.
Great fun. Despite the fact that we got a piece of Davy’s actual mail, and it turned out to be some sort of calendar from a vendor. Ah, well. :)
Afterwards, he called up a few people to share some particularly fun found objects. Of particular hilarity was a flyer advertising the services of a man who called himself The Great Joesini. The flyer listed his phone number, showed a picture of the guy (wearing an Adidas t-shirt), and had the following to say:
Your house is haunted? He’s your man.
King of Vampire Hunters.
Man of 1,000 souls.
Demons fear him.
He knows the Future.
And Davy, master showman that he is, asks if anyone has a cellphone, so we can call up The Great Joesini. Some kind girls volunteered their phone, but unfortunately we got a voicemail. But the whole time, Davy had the phone up to the mic so everyone could hear the rings and The Great Joesini’s voicemail message. Freaking hysterical ![]()
