Birthday Artwork

Got this in the mail yesterday from the Foxes. Woot! It’s Jim’s handiwork, but it came from everyone. And along with the art, I got a card and a pic of baby Alice. Thanks guys!

Lunch with the boys

Met up at Piece today for lunch with Chris, Ben and Eric. I did bring my camera with me, but I’m out of practice – and didn’t take any pics. We gabbed about work stuff, but mostly… I think we all wanted to get out of the house some. Piece was good as usual, although this meal was sans karaoke.

2:08 AM

What the FUCK. And for the record, no, I’m not watching that Lego video. Killed it after like minute 2. Currently digging through old blog entries, and clicking around on twelvestone. Since I’ve been working from home, I’ve begun to lose track of what day it is. Weekdays, weekends, they all sort of blur together. The past few evenings, around…

This never fails. When I

This never fails. When I start working on the blog late, I get done later. But then… for some inexplicable reason, I feel the need to remain online and surf around looking at useless shite. It’s 1:30 AM. Any of the blogs I check have already updated. The forums are dead. And I’ve already looked through my referrer logs. And…

4th in the NATION!

A few days ago, Matt (Tha.Riddla) and Mel travelled to Seattle for the United States Barista Championship. Where, I’d like to mention, he placed 4th. In the nation. The nation! Congratulations, Matt! Woot! Sidenote: It’s been almost a year exactly since our visit to Intelligentsia. And I still haven’t posted those pics and videos yet. Ack.

I came across this

I came across this blog a few days ago, and I’ve been back a few times since, checking it out. Despite having my own blog (maybe because of it?), I’m not a big reader of ’em. Most are… quite frankly, pretty boring. Hell, I think MY life is pretty boring, and I’m surprised folks bop through here as often as…

Justin and I do more than Instant Message and work

Met up with Justin this evening for some coffee and dinner at Filter. He’s been worse than me lately, what with him being under the weather the week before (and pretty much working nonstop since before my birthday). Food was good, and it felt nice to be out of the house for a little bit. The two of us have…

Today is officially Pi Day

Today is officially Pi Day (3.14)! Well… at least in the States, I guess. I wonder how many other sites might be linking back to my Pi experiment today. I don’t anticipate too much of a traffic bump, but my site has gone down a few times in the past, due to excessive visitors. I guess we wait and see!…

Wow

I’ve spent almost all weekend working in front of the computer. I’d say it’s half and half; half work stuff, half stuff for side projects. Ever since I started working from home, I’ve felt a little scattered and unfocused. I’d try to get in the zone, but either phone calls or IM chats would interrupt me and I’d never feel…

SamBakZa.net

I came across a great Flash piece today, done by SamBakZa.net. I think that currently, they’re getting a ton of traffic and a few pages may be down as a result. I don’t want to take away any traffic from their site, but I went ahead and posted these two flash animations on my own server (as per the guidelines…

Mirrormask

In my digging around the web for info and pics on Jim Henson, I happened to stumble across Mirrormask. Ok. Check this out. It’s a movie that combines the talents of Neil Gaiman, Dave McKean and the Jim Henson Company? Consider me sold on this! Here’s a brief synopsis: MirrorMask is the story of Helena, a fifteen-year-old girl working for…

For a while now,

For a while now, ever since I came across the cover of “The Rainbow Connection” by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, I’ve wanted to choose this song for the audioplayer (on the right). I’ve been listening to this song a lot, and I just can’t get over how much I like both the lyrics and the key changes. Every…
