Thank You for Smoking: Titles

I meant to post this a while back, but just remembered this evening. Check out the opening titles to “Thank You For Smoking,” by Shadowplay Studio.

I’m impressed by the feel of the images, and I marvel at how difficult it must have been to evoke the look/logos of everyday cigarette brands without actually referencing them directly. When I first saw this, the design struck me as a really tough (and really fun) challenge.

Oh, and the song rocks too.
