Not an insurance company
Not much of an entry today, but I will offer up a bit of audio. Mid-afternoon, Kevyn (one of the many talented audio guys who work here) came back into our area, looking for a few dudes. He wanted about four guys to help him do some background audio on a spot he was working on for The Loop.
After making the call, four of us (me, Ben, Chris and Bryan) went back and offered up our voices. Kevyn was working on a bit about a guy who was trying to get his manhood back, trying to choose “going out with the guys” over hanging out with his girlfriend.
And us? We were playing “the guys.”
We’re in the background on this one, doing the cheering, the high-fives, and the “awww” sounds. One of my favorite momens is when we’re all sounding disappointed, and the last thing you hear is Bryan saying “aww crap.”
We didn’t get to hear anything while we were in the studio – we just recorded, and then left. A bit later, Chris and I stopped in to hear the final result: The National Instituate for… well, you’ll see.
Even having worked at a radio station now for many years, I’m still amazed sometimes what they can get away with, on-air.
As my friend Matt is fond of saving – this doesn’t happen if you work at an insurance company. Ah me, just another day at the office.
