Driving Miss Allison
Earlier this morning, Allison fell down a few steps at the Damen Blue Line stop, and hurt her ankle. When she came in, she wasn’t able to walk all that well and couldn’t put any pressure on her foot.
Several folks helped get a chair set up for her, so she could prop up her leg. Despite a lot of opinions that she should go get it checked out, she stuck it through the day and wanted to attend an all-staff meeting (scheduled for a bit later in the afternoon).
When the time for the meeting came around, the problem of how to transport Allison came up (the meetingroom was downstairs). The solution? Wheel her to the elevator.
A quick shot of folks, packing into the elevator. I’m unclear just why Allison was forced into this disturbing Blair-Witch-like pose, but hey – at least she didn’t have to hop down multiple flights of stairs.
Much later on in the day, after the meeting and after she determined her foot still wasn’t feeling right… Allison went to go get it checked out at the hospital. Diagnosis: broken foot.
She’s currently in a cast, and may be in one for another 6-8 weeks. Yeouch! Hope you heal quickly, Allison!
Thank you! I think that Blair Witch position in the elevator (thank you Mr. Odiamar) was one of the oddest-feeling parts of the whole ridiculous day. Heh!
