I Think I’m Allergic to Alcohol
This kind of thing happens once every few weeks. I’m not sure what it means, but I know that my hand gets extremely red. Perhaps it’s some gene. Not that many people in my family drink, so I haven’t been able to confirm this. The few times I have seen relatives imbibe, they seem to turn extremely red in the face. Most asians that I know have a similar "reddening" effect, when drinking.
Roughly one time in every twelve, my skin starts to get this particular effect. I’m not sure if it’s dehydration, alcohol poisoning, or some allergic reaction. The only thing I know for certain is that this happens only when I drink really slowly. You would think that something like this would prevent someone from drinking, entirely. Well… it’s just made me drink faster, to avoid it happening at all.
It’s technically not a problem if I have a workaround.
Cheers!
