Sushi! Yeah, baby!

Pacific Cafe. This was a place that Chelsea and I used to go to a good deal, and it’s still one of my favorite places. Right on Damen, and the front doors open out onto the street when it’s warm enough. Reasonable prices, and just good vibes all around.
I felt a bit guilty, as I didn’t have any money. But MaryAnn insisted that she was paying, as a "thank you" for letting her stay at my apartment. Even though she told me this, I still felt awkward accepting a free meal. Possibly the Chinese training in my blood. I hate taking anything from anyone.
MaryAnn and I talked a good deal, about writing, about our lives, and about Chicago. It was a short, fun dinner and I look forward to more of them when she finally moves here.
