MoonDragon, v 2.0

Melissa and I talked today, and set up a time for us to hang out next week. As it turns out, she’ll come down to Chicago on Monday night, and stay here and leave sometime Tuesday.

I have to admit… at first, I was a bit wary. I think a big part of it is that I’ve been going and doing almost nonstop for 2 weeks now. This weekend will make 3. And this is coming from someone who’s used to holing up, going into voluntary seclusion, and just putzing on the computer by himself. I think a lot of what I’m feeling now (with all the visitors and road trips and whatnot) is a genuine desire to be by myself again, for a little while.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m happy to spend time with friends. But the past few weeks have inundated me more than I was ready for, and I’m needing some time alone to decompress. Time to vegetate, goof off and listen to nothing more than the vacuous echoes inside my head.

But time for that after next week. I’ll get to hang out with Melissa one more night, which is cool. With her being in California, god knows when we’d hang out again. So Monday will be fun – more time with Moonie.
