Columbus Retrospecticus: The Day After
Oh boy. I had a blast there, even if I did pass out towards the end. After the house (still fuzzy about the details), we all went to a Teejay’s 24 hour diner. Nothing tastes as good as food around 5:30 AM. I had some kind of sausage omelette, and it tasted like a slice of heaven. We dropped everyone off one by one, and by the time Juliet and I got back to her place it was damn near 7:00 AM.
Saturday night, I had numerous laughing fits (the kind where your stomach physically hurts from laughing so hard and long). It felt great to see everyone again, and to get sloppy and stupid (and in my case, sleepy). I learned a ton of things (Akhim’s writing nonfiction now, Jim’s teaching English to prisoners)… and I got to geek out with other writers. Fun fun fun.
