Coffee and a Movie

Oddly, I woke up around 10:30 and was all ready to get back into Flash again. Worked for a bit, and then headed over to Filter to meet Stu and Alex. Stu and I talked about what he wanted for his site, and it all sounds pretty straightforward. I’ll probably be making a variation of the gallery I developed for work, and teach him how to update XML so he can swap out pics.

We hung out at Filter for a while, as Stu was also meeting with potential clients for most of the afternoon. After a few cups of coffee, there was talk of a movie. We ended up going to see Shanghai Knights and I gotta say, it was pretty good. Oddly, Grumpy and I had talked about this movie not a few hours ago.

Overall, the movie was just a lot of fun. The production values were more than I had expected. For my money, that first hour was really pretty solid. I had some great, serious belly-laughs from the first few fight scenes. The one, in particular, where they were fighting in the market was great (with the lemon).

Really glad we went to go see a movie today. I was itching to get back to work, but relaxing for those two hours was pretty nice. I enjoyed seeing Stu as well – I don’t hang out with him nearly as much as I should, and today was really fun.
