UltraCrib: The Giveaway

Upstairs, in the finalist’s area. I tried to get some pics up here, but it was just crowded and dark. Free food for everyone who qualified, and some nice monitors going with all the UltraCrib images.

Stairway shot of the bar, south side. I was trying to get all the monitors.

Looking upstairs, to where the VIP area is.

Joe, talking to one of the finali… actually, I’m not sure who that is he’s talking to. Joe’s one of the few folks that wanders back into our Interactive area, and a really good guy (not to mention a rather observant one). To his left is Katie (I think that’s her name). Ahhh dammit, I’m so horrible with names. She came back to visit us late Friday, and was really nice. At the UltraCrib event, she said hi to me by name. Ahhh, why can’t I remember names?

Another crowd shot.

The crowd. But rowdier.

Alright. I’m just going to string a few pics together here because, they’re all photos I took of the finalists, as they walked on stage. Each one was waiting for their chance to try for one of the five "special" keys.

Ah, ok. Wait. Remember that couple that I ran into, at the very start of the night? Well, the guy came here specifically to register… his name hadn’t been called on air, so he decided to give it one last go this evening.
Odds of odds, his name got called, and he was one of the finalists who got qualified last minute, on-site. This is him in line, waiting for his chance at one of the five keys.

The UltraCrib winner… waiting in line to be showered with gifts.

I didn’t catch her name, but she ended up winning the whole she-bang a few seconds after this picture was taken. Oh wait – she’s got on a name tag. Shannon? Damn… that’s one lucky, lucky girl.

Dave, keeping an eye out on the crowd.

Another hired hand, capturing the moments.

Stage shot, shortly after the winner got all the prizes.

The boys, breaking down the stage.

Here’s the happy couple who helped me find my way. Man, I was really, really hoping he’d win. But after talking to them, he was really excited to just be picked, and to get a chance to be on stage.

The crowd, reaching for free Q101 shirts and giveaways.

Stu, working his magic. :)

Local H, setting up.

Local H playing their first song. I left shortly after this.

Joe’s. The hidden little sports bar.

A shot as I was leaving. Some of you might recognize the sign from a particular view that my friend Jim and I shared, a few weeks back.
