After Work, With Justin

After work, Justin and I hung out at Pontiac for a good while. The weather was remarkable, and we just relaxed and hit a wide range of topics. While we did talk about work initially, we fell into the kind of ephemeral banter that seemed to be indicative of our undergraduate years. It’s great to geek out with him, but it feels even better when we’re able to leave the shop talk behind.

I had a blast being out in public again, and just being around people. It felt great drinking (on an empty stomach), and watching what seemed to be a constant multitude of beautiful women parade past.

After Pontiac, we played a quick round of Rock-Paper-Scissors (which I lost), and ended up heading towards Justin’s hood. On the way to the Rainbo, we passed this in a random window:

It was a bit eerie, as there wasn’t any other sign or mention of the actual business. Just this word glowing in a window.

The rest of the night, we hung out at Rainbo and talked more. I had a great night tonight, and hanging out felt more spontaneous and freer that I’ve felt in a good long while.

While at the Rainbo, I ended up taking a smattering of pictures. Next to our table, there was a group of folks who I got fixated on and wanted to photograph. Namely – it was Tim’s tattoos that caught my eye. Thankfully, they were all quite tolerant of my drunk ass and my request to take their pictures.

Tim, Will and Freda – get a hold of me and I’ll set you up with high-res versions of these pics.

And for the rest of you, here’s a snapshot of my time inside Rainbo:

Tim (who, incidentally, doesn’t usually have his sleeves rolled up like this all the time).

Will, whose cap I liked.

I was trying to capture this cool hair clip thing Freda had, but I didn’t really get it.

Justin, emoting to the camera.

Me, looking remarkably alert and focused.
