Aaaaaaaaaand…… back.

Got back into town today, around 5:30PM. Man oh man, what a blast. I’ve got pics, but none right now at my disposal. I ended up loading all my images onto Justin’s laptop each time I filled up the card, and so I don’t have anything to post tonight. Pics are coming soon. Promise.

Mexico, Final Day!

*yawn* This is an awesome shot, taken by Justin. This really captures the feel of the street. Amaranto, view from the street. View up the street (North). View down the street (South). Everyone met up in Ben’s room, for a cup of coffee. Ben’s view. This room was so big, we all probably could have slept in here fairly easily….

Mexico, Day 4

What the? How did this happen? Why is there sa…. oh, wait. That’s right. Feeling just… super. Justin and Ben, getting a little misty at the beautiful surroundings, and sharing a private moment. Justin talked to Marissa this morning, and the Sisters Dallas decided to join us on our trek out to Cozumel Island. Ben, Justin and I are staying…

Mexico, Day 3

We had most of the morning off today, with our meetings starting around 1:00PM. I woke up late and, after lounging around my room awhile, headed down to the pool. I met up with a bunch of Emmis folks and crawled into the water. All told, I spent about an hour, hour and a half, just floating around. Got out,…

Mexico, Day 2

*INSERT MEETINGS HERE* All morning, we ended up meeting and giving talks. We presented our Content Management System to everyone, and gave an overview of how we envisioned the coming months. We’re looking to move everyone off of Dreamweaver Templates, and breaking down roles/permissions so that various tasks can be delegated and assigned. While I’m really proud of all of…

¡Vamanos!

I met up with Justin and Chris on the corner of North and Wood. Prepared boy scout that I am, I left my e-ticket at the office, along with all the other important info regarding where it was, specifically, I was going. After a brief discussion in the cab, everyone else convinced me we didn’t need that piece of paper….

Power Packing

After washing some clothes and throwing them into the dryer, I sat down on the couch for a bit. Apparently, I sat down too far into the couch, because I woke up at 3:30AM. After rubbing my eyes and muttering the word shit about 30 times, I started getting ready. I was expecting to get into a cab with Justin…

Transferring…

It’s 1:59AM. Earlier tonight, after charging up my iPod, I tried to get all my music onto the thing. As it turns out, I’ve got a LaCie portable drive that I carry with me everywhere, that has pretty much my life on it (work files, poems, music). Each time I tried to copy my music over (from my portable drive…

Jessie Visits

Jessie, a friend of mine from way back in college, was in Chicago for a Book Expo. I’ve known Jessie now some… let’s see, ten years now? Back when I was an undergrad, I had a terrific crush on her (having first met her in a poetry class, if memory serves). We fell out of talking the past few years,…

Jessie

Tomorrow, I get to see my friend Jessica. Who I haven’t seen in something like 5 years, all told. Maybe more. I’m going to be super exhausted come tomorrow evening, but I’m so looking forward to our dinner together. Woohoo!

Rejection Letter

Columbus folk – anyone else get this type of letter from Atlanthic Monthly? Is this their generic rejection letter, or should I actually believe the copy here? Because I’d really like to believe the copy. :)

Half Full or Half Empty?

I grabbed this on my way up the stairs to the train. It looked to me like the mama bird got her eggs eaten, there being only an empty shell nearby. But when I got home and looked a bit closer, I’m not sure if the eggs hatched, instead. I’ll have to take a peek tomorrow and see.
