Audioplayer Updated
After seeing my friend Dan play this week, I decided that I was going to put three songs in the audioplayer from my musician friends. And so this time I’m including work from Dan Frick, Dave Fischoff and Ben Husmann.
Audio controls should be in the right module. Enjoy!

Dan, doing his thing at the Jazz Cooker in Indianapolis. The song that I’ve included is Astronaut, and I’m particularly fond of the main chorus – which I’ve been humming ever since I got his CD.

I don’t have an actual photo of Dave performing, but I hope to soon. He’s been talking a lot about finishing up his next album after winter ends, so I’m definitely looking forward to his next show at Schubas.
What I like about this song (How Things Move In The Wind) is the progression. The whole thing makes me think of one long, extended crescendo, growing in both volume and intensity. There’s a build to it that I really, really dig.

Ben, taking the stage during our company trip to Mexico.
What I love about Ben’s Silent Chicago is the loneliness of the song. Despite the fact that his own vocals are kicking in to supply the harmonies, the fact that it’s the same voice almost emphasizes that loneliness.
