Easiest Move Ever

I was slated to help Michelle move into her new apartment today, but it turns out today was the easiest_move_EVAR.

I guess some of her friends stopped by during the week last week, and they did all of the heavy lifting right there and then, moving the bed, armoire, etc. When I showed up today, all she really had left was a large futon (the fancy wooden kind). We were able to break that thing down fairly quickly, and transported it over with little hassle.

In the grand scheme of the various moves I’ve participated in, this one was, by far, one of the easiest. :)

Michelle’s new place is very cute, and not too far from her previous digs. She seems well poised, having good access to both Division and Chicago.

Oh – and I guess one of the interesting “facts” about the place is that it’s supposedly haunted. I guess the prior tenant (who’s lived there for a LONG time) would come home and find doors open that weren’t open when he left. Or something like that.

Guess I need to buy her a copy of Chuck Palahniuk’s (one of my fav authors) book Lullaby, as a housewarming gift.
