Liz and Ashley

Spent the night tonight hanging out with Liz and her longtime friend Ashley, who was in town visiting.

I don’t have any pics of the evening, as I just never really felt right taking out the camera at any point. We had some dinner at Smoke Daddy’s, grabbed some gelato, and then had beers on the back porch. A pretty subdued evening, and I got to hear a lot about Ashley’s travels (she’s been to more places in the past few months than I’ve ever been in my life).

Ashley also works for the Air Force, and has Top Secret clearance. One of the more memorable lines from the evening’s conversation, from her: “You’d be surprised how many submarines there are. It’s kinda scary.”

Mostly tonight, Liz and Ashley got a chance to catch up and hang out. It was fun sitting in, watching and listening to two old friends catch up.
