New Security Features Added

Spent some time last night at New Wave Coffee (where they have wireless), and did a whole security overhaul on the blog. I’ve been getting a ton of spam lately, and decided I needed to fortify the site a bit more.

I’ve applied a newer MT patch, and I think my site is looking a lot more stable now. I don’t anticipate any problems with any part of the site, but if you see something broken, let me know (ie commenting, or old links).

  1. Funny enough, my site was hacked yesterday but only for one day. Guess it started and ended on the first of April. Weird!If you missed it, here’s the hacked homepage from yesterday.

  2. So was the hacked page an April Fool’s Joke??? I was afraid to click on the link where the hacker said “your site is here.” If it was real, glad you were able to recover!

  3. It was indeed just an April Fool’s joke. I try to do a little something with the site each year, just because it’s fun. And every once in a while, I catch a few folks.Thanks for the concern though!
