Ruffle Flash Emulator

Happened across Ruffle – a Flash emulator built in Rust.

With Chrome dropping support for the Flash player in 2021, I’ve gotten used to the notion that there’s no good way to view Flash content anymore. And also lamented at how much of my blog content (.swf and .flv files) remains more or less inaccessible.

It should be no surprise that some folks figured out how to display Flash content, even after its support has been dropped. Delighted that I might be able to use this plugin to view older Flash content… and definitely need to figure out how I might include it in my older blog posts.

This post is half sharing, and half to-do item. Definitely something I need to look into more.
