MaryAnn, Back in Chicago
Awesome. Just got off the phone with MaryAnn, who visited me a while back. We caught up on the phone, and chatted about what the future holds for both of us. She’ll be working as a Communications Consultant, doing a freelance job for Blue Cross, Blue Shield. Very, very impressive! It’s going to be a three-month long thing, which is fantastic… since she was worried about finances prior to this.
Unfortunately, our paths won’t be able to cross for a while yet. Since I’m leaving soon, we made plans to hang out after I get back, and go to the American Science and Surplus together. I like calling it ASS for short. A wonderful place that I stumbled across by accident, almost a year ago. I was getting some winter tires put on my car, and had about 2 hours to kill. Walked around, saw the shop and got into a conversation with this friendly old man about astronomy, and where to go in Wisconsin to see the stars.
Since then, I’ve had visions of making a Rube Goldberg. Still do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to realize it soon. With this new apartment, I’m again, wary of drilling holes… I feel like I’d just leave huge gouges. But I did bring my pegboards with me, and I’m going to find a way to mount them. I will find a way.
