Addendum
When my poem was cited (above), a few errors were introduced. I have corrected them, and the poem appears as it should.
In the article, Tim capitalized the start of each line. He also omitted the colon at the end of line one. There was also an incorrect line break on line 9, breaking at "father" instead of "whom." This last error is a pretty big deal, since it disrupts the rhyme scheme (abcdefg gfedcba) and also throws off the iambic pentameter.
Why am I obsessing over this shit? I guess it’s in the blood. When all you have is fourteen lines, you want to make sure everything is in its right place.
I guess what best sums it up is Oscar Wilde, who said that “A poet can survive anything except a misprint.”
