Kevin Gives Permission

I e-mailed my friend Kevin Seal (who’s currently doing a ton of things, one of which is writing and playing with Griddle). For the past few months (and god, it might even be a year)… I’ve been itching to take a song he did, a long while back, and put it to Flash. Not a video thing, but just to animate the words to the song. I’ve been wanting to do such a thing, and finally got around to asking Kevin if it was ok.

Wonderfulness. He wrote back today, and said I could do whatever I wanted. Rock! I don’t plan to have crazy graphics and visuals all over the place. In my mind, everytime I hear the song, I think of the notes and how they move, and how the harmonies work against/with each other. I think text will more than capture what I admire about this song, and I’m soooo looking forward to playing with this. Ever since Alabama, I’ve been thinking about music and Flash and synchronizing words to audio.
