Cafe Iberico
There was a lot of mixup tonight, for dinner. I got there right at 6:30, and looked around for people I recognized. I knew that Seth and Monica had arranged the dinner, but I didn’t really know them all that well. I walked inside the restaurant, looked around, and then headed outside to wait.
A few minutes pass, and I see Kristen pull up in a cab. We go inside, and find Monica and Seth sitting at the bar (they had seen me, but weren’t sure whether I was joining them for dinner). After a few minutes discussing logistics, we figure out that almost half the party had cancelled. So – we figured it was just the four of us.
I felt a bit awkward; I didn’t know Seth and Monica all that well, and though I’ve hung out with Kristen off and on for two years, we hadn’t really hung out together. Dinner was slightly awkward, and slightly cool. We all ate sparingly, but tapas area good no matter the situation.
After dinner, we dropped off Kristen at her friend Liz’s house, and all made plans to recongregate at Stu’s.
