Fighting Pavlov

Technically, the lesson I should derive from the whole car debacle is: Don’t Try Anything New. Deep down, I know this isn’t true… but it’s hard to avoid the message. Because I deviated from what I’m used to doing, I got the smack down.

And this was no ordinary smack down. Including the actual parking ticket itself, all told it was a $200 smackdown.

For someone like me, who’s such a great creature of ritual and habit… it’s difficult to ignore the subtext.
