Blogpickle
I got an e-mail from my friend Lloyd today, and found out he’s started up a group blog. Being a playwright, Lloyd’s got a good sense of the word (read the e-mail he sent me about his thoughts on Goonies and Corey Feldman). Here’s an excerpt:
Hey you two, remember that conversation we had about getting a big group of people together to live in some random city for like a month or so some summer? We could all get part time jobs at useful places (one person at a pastry shop, one person at a movie theatre, one person at a video rental store, one person at a swimming pool, one person at a bar), and just hang out and eat really well, taking turns cooking for each other. We could play games and live lives of leisure, sublet our apartments and just go on a part-time group vacation for 30 days. Drink coffee in the morning and hang out in robes. Piece together jigsaw puzzles and watch documentaries on television. Go to drive-ins en masse, bowling alleys and late nights at the Waffle House. Fishing in lakes and such like. Maybe we could do that in Indiana somewhere. Or Missouri or Iowa or Manitoba or something.
Maybe while we’re there we can start a jazz band. Or shoot a movie. Or build a robot.
Just throwing it out there.
