Great Evening

I had a blast tonight. I got to eat dinner with my family, some long-lost relatives, and my friends. Afterwards, on the way to Justin’s, I discovered a series of gifts (balloons and notes) marking the path. I had not one, but two cakes. And a crapload of gifts. And a ton of drinks at Rainbo.

Let me tease you with the bounty:
Lots of awesome stuff. I got a portable USB drive from my parents. A webcam from my uncle/aunt/cousin.

I got another Moleskin notebook from Justin, along with Origami paper and an Origami book.

I got a set of dominos from Emma, as well as this funky cool wooden puzzle.

From Chelsea, I got an ant farm (how cool is that?).

I got two books from Liz and Steph: Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino (which is one of my favorites of his). And I also got this funky book called This Book Will Change Your Life, that apparently has one creative idea for every day of the year.

Dave got me a Moondog CD, which I first encountered some months back at a dinner party at Justin’s.

I got a great card from Mary, who I met at Christine’s birthday party some time back, and who was nice enough to come out and help me celebrate.

I got a ton of Polish foodstuffs from Gretchen’s neighborhood, and a pineapple from Rob, attached to a book of poems by Carl Sandburg.

Ben got me Season 3 of the Simpsons, and his boy Emmett made me two fantastic paintings. According to Ben, Emmett said that he believed his paints would make me very happy. And you know what? He was right. :D

I’ve got a few more pics from the evening, and some stories. But that’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’m contemplating taking yet another day off of work, given the past few days. I’m pretty exhausted right now, so all the pictures and stories will have to wait.I feel full. I feel tired. I feel loved. :)—–
