Reading at Quimby’s

Gretchen was part of a reading at Quimby’s this evening, one of a few authors related to the2ndhand. It’s been forever and a day since I’ve been to a reading, so I was excited on several levels.

You can’t see it, but there’s a sizeable crowd behind this area. Where I was standing, I was about halfway inside the audience. Behind me, there were groups/couples who remained standing, viewing the whole thing from afar. The whole time, the place was as quiet as the Reference section of a library. When I pulled out my camera, I was incredibly self-conscious as to the noise it made.
