Terrible Toy. Funny Toy. Best Toy EVER!

Chris passed around a link today to an article on CNN entitled Ten Worst Toys of 2004, outlining toys that are “so poorly designed or tested that they pose a serious safety or health risk to children.”

Looking through the list, we were all laughing at some of the names and marvelling how they all just seemed to be terrible, terrible ideas. Accidents waiting to happen. We started making up fake toys like Baby Knife Blade Head™.

Of particular interest were the Fun Slides Carpet Skates. Again, they just seem like a really horrible idea. But then… I found their web page. And began laughing at how hysterical these things were.

But what finally turned the tide? Check out this video. After seeing that action, I now totally have this on my Christmas list. Give them as gifts? Fuck that! I want one!
