The Attic

3:00AM. This is the attic in Mike’s place, where most of the rehearsals took place. We hauled all the equipment up here, and I stopped to take a few shots of the place. Not an overly spacious area, but perfect for a few guys to get together and make music. Mike’s done an awesome job of decorating the walls, and making this area feel like the creative space it is.

Laura pauses for a moment, to pet Mike’s dog Loki. The MFA alum were out in force tonight, and writers were seemingly falling from the sky. Laura was in town and attended the show (she was a 3rd year Fiction student when I was just entering the program). Dan was there (and who did all the artwork for the CD, incidentally). Keith and Kristina also made the drive in from Pittsburgh to see the show. It was great to see a lot of old faces again, and I had a blast hanging out and chatting with Laura all night.
