Interconnectedness

I was talking with my friend Dave on the phone today, and he mentioned hearing my voice on the radio recently. Turns out, it was part of an NPR piece focusing on Alicia and her life.

It was surprising to hear about this from Dave, as I had just been looking over some old emails from her, before he called.

My thoughts right now are that Chicago, as big as it seems, is a small place – and that we’re all linked to one another, more than we realize. It’s really quite wonderful to see Alicia’s name in so many places, with so many people talking about her unique way of engaging the world.
