Matt Cooks Thai

Joined the Robinsons tonight, along with Nuanda and Chelsea for dinner. Matt was making Pad Thai for us all, and the kitchen smelled pretty darn incredible.

It’s been a long while since I saw everyone last, so tonight’s meal was a lot of fun (and long overdue). We all chowed down outside on the balcony and ate our noodles while the sun set in the background.

Good fun hanging out with everyone, and it was great to see Malachai again. He was showing off a lot this evening, going so far as to start a lot of his sentences with the phrase “Aren’t you so amazed that I…”

Today, he got a new turtle (which he named “Hardback”). We were all chuckling at that particular choice for a name.

As Chelsea and I left, I peeked in on Matt and Malachai, as they were playing a game called “Automatic.” I had heard about this game earlier, but assumed it was something akin to, say, Minesweeper. But to my surprise, the thing was pretty darn sophisticated.

I think they’ve beaten this game repeatedly. But Malachai can’t seem to get enough of it. And so they play and play and play.
