Movie Night with Chelsea
Cleaned up a good deal today, as Chelsea was heading over to watch movies. We ended up ordering some pizza from Pizza Metro (I’m convinced they put heroin in the cheese). Beer and scotch, and a crapton of movies. We both have Netflix, and between us we had a silly amount of DVD’s to pick from.
Chels, it turns out… not so much a fan of Happy Tree Friends.
And me? Not so much a fan of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
We then switched to Reno 911, which was good at first but we got tired after a few episodes (I’m currently working my way through Season 1).
We then watched several episodes of Invader Zim (which she had never seen before). I’ve forgotten how much I love this show. I only have the first DVD… so it looks like it’s high time to buy the others!
We finally popped in I Know What You Did Last Summer as our main movie to see. Surprisingly, neither one of us had seen it (although we both felt like we knew the movie via all the pop-culture parodies we’d come across).
An ok movie, though a lot of the scares were cheap IMO. I had expected a certain amount of sophistication from horror movies given what I’ve seen the past few years… but I guess this one is an old one (1997). It’s funny how both Chelsea and I went about dealing with the scary parts of the movie: while she held her breath during the super scary parts, I had to plug my ears. I’m fine with being visually scared, but the sounds get me and make it that much worse.
I have no idea why Chelsea holds her breath. That’s just weird.
