Recluse
Justin invited me out to the Empty Bottle tonight, but though the band sounds pretty interesting… I’m choosing to stay in tonight. Not sure where this big solitude swing kicked in, but I’ve noticed it a lot lately. I wonder if this has anything to do with the increased sleepyness, and/or the fact that I’ve got workers in my apartment recently.
I’ve been up earlier than normal for a few days now, and there’s been a fine layer of dust on almost everything, due to the renovations. I’d attempt to clean some, but its seems that each day there’s more dust… so it only makes sense to wait until they’re finally, finally done to start the cleaning process.
I think they’re close to done. Tonight, everything’s been cleared out of the living room. Although the water heater seems to be making this constant hissing noise. I guess we’ll see what’s up tomorrow.
Tonight, I think I’m going to hit the sack early again, and do some reading. Last night was surprisingly productive, even though I worked late and went to bed early. I started Margaret Atwood’s Oryx and Crake, which, originally, was something that Chelsea suggested to me, ages and ages ago. So far, I’m liking it, and blowing through chapters like crazy (it helps that they’re all super-short – in this way, it reminded me a lot of Chuck Palahniuk’s Diary and Lullaby.
Off to sleep… and likely some dreaming too.
