A note about Muffin Ladies

I guess the email I got was from another Muffin Lady in Colorado, who came across my site after doing some keyword searches.

But the one I know is the local Muffin Lady, who was busted back in November of 2004. Getting this email today made me go back and look over the strange ways in which the (Chicago) Muffin Lady’s path has intersected with mine.

After doing a quick search of my own, looking through my site, I found these links:

2002/09/2011 – First encounter with the Muffin Lady.
2003/11/2014 – The Muffin Lady dominates me in pool.

2004/10/2025 – Original designs for “Save the Muffin Lady t-shirt.

It’s weird to be able to look back over this two-year period, and document almost every encounter I had with her. Weirder still that the person to create the t-shirt design was my friend Ben.

Looking over things, I’m realizing that Chicago really is in some ways a small city. And factoring today’s email, from the Colorado Muffin Lady who found the Chicago Muffin Lady? Small world.
