Contentless
Well, I don’t really have much for tonight. At work, we’re slowly entering crunch mode, and everyone has their heads down, coding or designing with headphones on. By the time I’m home, I find myself fairly tired and unmotivated to do much more than surf absently.
I cracked open a blank text document, with the intention of doing some writing. But then, I went over to my bookshelf and started sifting through books of poetry.
It amazes me how often I fall out of the habit of actually *reading* poetry. I forget sometimes how wonderful it is, to stumble across an old favorite or to discover something new.
So that’s how I’ve spent my evening here. Surfing sites and looking over poems. I’m including a poem from a book that I got from my friend Alex, a few months ago. I remember being up late at night at his house, and I felt like I was the last one awake – reading through an anthology of poems I plucked off the wall. I remember how Katrovas’ poem jumped out at me, and so I’m including it below for you.
