Spotted this guy on the street right behind our apartment.

I was originally going to make some comparison to gargoyles in terms of being some kind of ward or guardian. But it turns out gargoyles actually originated from the process of conveying water away from the sides of buildings (to prevent damage after storms).

This reminds me. There are a few cool water spouts on our block. Next time it rains, I’ll try to see if I can catch them in action…
