Branding 10,000 Lakes

Designer Nicole Meyer has taken on the very formidable task of trying to create a logo for each of Minnesota’s lakes, one per day. With there being about 10,000 lakes that should take her “a little over 27 years to hit ’em all.”

Meyer’s project, Branding 10,000 Lakes, is a fun collection to scroll through. In many cases, the name of the lake is incredibly plain – and coming up with a logo seems like a real challenge. I don’t know exactly how many lakes she’s gotten through, but it’s fascinating to look through them, one by one.
