All the Books in the World

Originally titled gospodin libar (“Mister Bookseller”), this comic was created by Darko Macan and Tihomir Celanovic. A little digging around reveals that the original was written in Croatian, but someone along the way translated (and relettered) the text into English.

It’s beautifully illustrated, and quite amazing in its ability to pull you so quickly (and often) from the present to the past. I found another site that posted this, and this version may be easier to read.

One odd thing I’ll mention. Maybe it’s my monitor, maybe it’s these posted images. But everything looks fine in the comic save for the last page, where the ink and colors seem to get a little… blurry.

Excuse me.
