Powerful Like a Gorilla, Yet Soft and Yielding Like a Nerf Ball: The Car Built for Homer Simpson

For those not familiar with this fantastic Simpsons reference, the car stems from an episode where Homer finds his long-lost brother, Herb (who happens to run a car company based). Convinced that scientists and engineers have lost touch with the common man, Herb lets Homer design his ultimate vehicle – and Homer comes up with… well, a pretty unique design.

This clip is a pretty poor version of the cartoon and reveal, but you get the idea. And now someone has actually turned this vehicle into a reality.

I will be very curious to hear whether it cost $82,000 to create.

Also? The “BORT” license plate is icing on the cake.
