Heroes of Loot: Addictive RPG Pixel Game
Heroes of Loot is the latest game that I’ve gotten sucked into, on my phone. Though you get to choose different classes (elf, wizard, etc), the game is more akin to Gauntlet than any actual RPG in that the characters are fairly similar, stats-wise.
I guess the game is more or less a roguelike, but the dungeons are perfectly bite-sized. Each level is easily completed in a short time, enabling you to stop and pick up the game at any time.
There are “shops” on each level, that allow you to purchase items with the gold you’ve collected. There are also occasional quests, where you can gain items if a certain task is completed within a certain time. The quests are a nice addition, as they add an optional sense of urgency to the game, if you want it.
It took me a little while to get a hang of the controls, as I initially thought I could shoot in any direction I wanted to. Turns out, you’re kind of stuck shooting in whatever direction you face – which while annoying, wasn’t too hard to get used to.
Heroes of Loot is a great little “pick up and play” game, that you can start and stop whenever you want. Or, well… maybe just start whenever you want.
