Our Newest Coworker: Asher the Dog

Joanna, a coworker of mine, snuck her dog Asher in to work today. He is a Shih Tzu, and incredibly, impossibly chill. Only reason he’s so attentive in this photo is because Joanna is standing behind me, waving a treat in the air.

Here’s how Asher is, most of the time. See what I mean about chill?

It’s amazing how many folks stop by to visit Asher, and how much he brightens up the office. Asher visited once before, and has gone to a few meetings. But today, while Joanna was away in meetings, Asher ended up having a lot of babysitter volunteers – and moved to various desks around the office.

At various points during the day, I’d swing around and see Asher just plopped there at Joanna’s desk. I’d be a little bleary after looking at code, or just feel a little tired due to the normal mid-afternoon slump. And when I looked over, I imagined a small thought bubble above Asher’s head, saying “Yeah, me too, friend. Me, too.”
